Food security sector

We contribute to strengthening food security for vulnerable groups within the local community, ensuring basic food requirements are met, and alleviating poverty.

Through this sector, we aim to bolster food security in affected communities by conducting rigorous needs assessments and selecting optimal intervention modalities to facilitate sustainable food access, prioritizing the most vulnerable populations.

We deliver food assistance through a flexible suite of modalities, including in-kind food baskets, cash-based transfers (CBT), food vouchers, hot meals, or a hybrid approach. This ensures responsiveness to needs in both acute emergencies and protracted crises.

In parallel with emergency response, we address the structural drivers of food insecurity through developmental programs designed to generate stable income opportunities. This is achieved by providing agricultural inputs, enhancing agricultural and livestock production practices, and leveraging available resources to foster sustainable agricultural development.

This integrated approach directly contributes to building household resilience, achieving self-sufficiency, securing basic needs, and alleviating poverty in the long term.
