Water, Sanitation, & Hygiene (WASH)
Through this sector, we aim to ensure the fundamental right to access safe drinking water and adequate sanitation services, in the face of a complex water crisis exacerbated by conflict, climate change, and extreme poverty. We operate in environments suffering from severe water scarcity and total infrastructure collapse, exposing millions of people—particularly women and children—to the risk of waterborne diseases and threatening their daily safety and dignity.
Therefore, we adopt an integrated approach combining emergency life-saving water solutions with the reconstruction of sustainable, resilient water and sanitation systems. We aim to reduce reliance on hazardous practices, improve general health conditions, and contribute to community stability. Our scope includes:
Provision of Safe and Sustainable Water Sources: By drilling and rehabilitating artesian and surface wells, extending water networks, and constructing and maintaining central collection and distribution reservoirs to secure regular supplies for communities, villages, and IDP camps.
Emergency Water Response: Through the distribution of domestic water tanks, provision of drinking water via water trucking (bowsers), and distribution of water coolers to meet immediate needs and bridge critical gaps in high-risk areas.
Improvement of Sanitation and Hygiene Services: By constructing and rehabilitating latrines and sewage units in public facilities (schools, health centers, mosques).
Promotion of Hygiene and Public Health: Designing and implementing intensive community awareness campaigns regarding personal and environmental hygiene, and promoting behaviors that prevent the spread of waterborne epidemics.
